Four arrested for heroin in Ashland

ASHLAND, Ky. (AP) — Police in eastern Kentucky have arrested four people and confiscated an estimated $80,000 worth of heroin.
The Independent reported Boyd County Sheriff’s Department deputies made the arrests after stopping a car leaving the Ashland bus station Sunday night.
Investigators found a large quantity of heroin and a small amount of marijuana.
They charged Irwin Scott Jr. with third offense possession and 28-year-old Julie Hobbs with facilitation to trafficking.
Also arrested with 20-year-old Jermal Parker and a juvenile.
The sheriff’s department has been investigating heroin being brought into eastern Kentucky from Detroit.
