SOUTH POINT — Ann R. Lane, 82, of South Point, died Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at Community Hospice, Ashland, Ky.
Mrs. Lane was born March 21, 1927, in South Point, a daughter of the late H. Claire and Ruth King Rutledge. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of South Point for more than 60 years.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, John R. Lane Jr., and Judy Leighty.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Earl Dowling of Chicago; three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Sandra Lane of Grand Rapids, Mich., Stephen and Patti Lane of Lexington, Ky., and John David and Lisa Lane of Massillon; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Bill Davis of Greenboro, Ga.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, South Point, with the Rev. Louis Ashworth. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Tracy Brammer Funeral Home, Ironton, and an hour prior to service at the church.
