BOBBIE CHATFIELD

CHILLICOTHE — Bobbie L. Chatfield, 80, of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, March 8, 2009, in Traditions of Chillicothe.
He was born June 28, 1928, in Hanging Rock, to Hugh W. and Gertrude Marshall Chatfield. On June 9, 1951, he married Rosemary Ridgeway, who died Sept. 19, 1993. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Ronda (Jack) Murnahan, of Circleville; granddaughter and grandson-in-law Becky (Jim) Henderson, of Chillicothe; a great-granddaughter, Caitlin Henderson; sister and brother-in-law, Linda (Don) Long, of Springfield; brother and sister-in-law, Cecil (Margaret) Chatfield, of New Carlisle; and a brother, Larry Chatfield, of Marion.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Mr. Chatfield was a retired postmaster with the US Postal Service and had retired after 15 years of service from the Circleville Wal-Mart. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, and a member of Calvary Apostolic Church, where he was very active as a deacon and a Sunday school teacher.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Haller Funeral Home, with J.E. Henderson, E.L. Heskett, and W.A. Pellum officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
