Lawrence County’s annual Republican Party Lincoln Day dinner will have a little star power this year.
Former U.S. Congressman John Kasich, who gained national attention with his Fox News program “Heartland” and who may be a Republican candidate for governor in 2010, will be this year’s guest speaker.
The Lincoln Day Dinner and silent auction will be March 16 at Dawson-Bryant High School.
Kasich, of Westerville, was named by Newsweek magazine as one of its 100 people for the 21st century. He is now a substitute host of Fox News’ O’Reilly Factor when regular host Bill O’Reilly is away. He is also a writer and investment banker.
The VIP reception will be at 5:30 p.m. Kasich is scheduled to speak at 6:15 p.m. and dinner will follow the speech.
Those who want to attend must purchase a ticket in advance.
