Tom and Linda McKnight of Coal Grove celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., where they had honeymooned years earlier.

The couple was married June 21, 1958 at Memorial United Methodist Church in Coal Grove. Lifelong residents of Coal Grove, the McKnights raised three children, Tomilynne McKnight Blankenship (husband Todd), Kyle McKnight (wife Alisha) and Shelli McKnight Bauer (husband Chris). They also have seven grandchildren, Holli, Paige, Mckenzi, Chase, Hannah, Marley and J.K.

Mr. McKnight is retired from Ashland Oil, Inc and is the former mayor of Coal Grove. Mrs. McKnight is retired from Dawson-Bryant schools and is an administrative assistant at the Lawrence County Educational Service Center.
