Clara Chatfield, 56, of 105 Cemetery St., Hanging Rock, was sentenced to 90 days of home confinement and four years community controlled sanctions under intensive supervised probation after she signed a bill of information admitting the theft charge against her.

Judge Frank McCown also ordered Chatfield to successfully complete drug treatment and gave her credit for time served awaiting conclusion of her case.

If she violates the terms of her probation, Chatfield could be sent to prison for 11 months.

Also, Thomas Allen, 21, of Huntington, W.Va., pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery in connection with the hold up of The Game Room in Proctorville.

Because he used a gun during that crime, Judge Richard Walton sentenced Allen to three years in prison for the robbery and three additional years in prison for the firearm specification. That means he will serve a total of six years in prison for his crime. Prison sentences for gun specifications can’t be served concurrently with other crimes.

Walton also ordered Allen to make restitution to his victim. He is accused of going to The Game Room with two friends to hold up the place.

One of his two alleged cohorts, Nikki Lewis, 27, of 50 Township Road 1059, Proctorville, will stand trial June 26 on charges of complicity to aggravated robbery with a firearm specification and fleeing and eluding a police officer. A third person, Johnny Belcher, 22, of 22022 State Route 243, Proctorville, remains at large. The robbery occurred April 5.

Also Wednesday, William Thomas, 29, of 707 Walnut St., Ironton, pleaded guilty to complicity to burglary. Walton sentenced Thomas to two years in prison but gave him credit for time served in jail awaiting a resolution of his case.
