END program being offered at CCC
CHESAPEAKE — An Electroneurodiagnostic Technology (END) program is being added to the Adult Education course list at the Collins Career Center.
END is the field devoted to recording and studying the electrical activity of the brain and nervous systems. END technologists operate equipment that records data to be interpreted by neurologists.
The 11-month program will begin on March 3, 2008 and will be Mondays through Thursdays at the school’s Coal Grove campus.

Red Cross having blood drives
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — American Red Cross Blood Services is asking for the community to support local post holiday blood drives.
Those who donate from now until Jan. 14 will receive a “Raise the Red” long-sleeved T-shirt, while supplies last. To donate blood, you must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health.
The Huntington Donor Center is located at 1111 Veterans Memorial Boulevard. Walk-ins are welcome.
Marshall offices set December schedule
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. —The following offices and departments on Marshall University’s campus will be open during the holiday break: Admissions, Bursar’s Office, Financial Aid, Registrar, University College and the Recruitment and Welcome Center will be open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Dec. 27 and Dec. 28.
The bookstore will be open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Dec. 27 and Dec. 28 and 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31.
