Tri-State Junior Golf Circuit ready for new season

The Tri-State Junior Golf Circuit will begin its 24th season on Friday, June 9, at the Riveria Golf Club in Lesage, W.Va.
A total of seven tournaments have been planned, five on Fridays and one each on Tuesday and Thursday.
The second stop is Friday, June 16, at Lavalette Golf Club in Lavalette, W.Va., but the third stop is on Tuesday, June 27, at Sugarwood Golf Club in Lavalette.
The fourth tournament is Thursday, July 6, at Esquire Country Club in Barboursville, W.Va., and the remaining three tournaments are on Fridays.
The fifth tour event is July 14 at Bellefonte Country Club in Ashland, Ky., the sixth at Shawnee State Park Golf Club in West Portsmouth and the final tournament is at Guyan Golf and Country Club in Huntington, W.Va.
Age divisions are 10-12, 13-15 and 16-18. Age is determined as of June 9. Golfers play 18 holes except the 10-12 division, which plays nine holes.
Entry fee for the 13-18 age golfers is $33 per tournament except at Guyan where the fee is $38. Golfers in the 10-12 category play $27 except at Guyan which is $30.
Entries must be hand-delivered to the host course by 3 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the tournament or mailed to:

Deadline for Sugarwood is Saturday, June 24, Monday, July 3, for the Esquire stop.
A Player of the Year will be selected in each age division based on a points system. Players must participate in at least six tournaments to be eligible.
Soft spikes are required for all tournaments. Golfers must wear shirts with collars or mock turtlenecks. Cut-off jeans or basketball-style trunks are not permitted. Hats and visors must be worn with the brim forward.
