At times, McGuire’s lead would be a half a lap.

Behind, McGuire a great, side by side battle occurred the entire race for positions two through four with Kenny Christy taking second, Nick Bocook taking third, Chris Wilson taking fourth, and Bob McKenzie taking fifth.

Nick Bocook and Josh McGuire would win the heat races with Kenny Christy being fast qualifier.

In the AMRA Modified A-Main, it appeared like Tennessee’s Shon Flanary was going to win the race after leader Tim Moore dropped out on lap 14.

However, on the restart, Eddie Harmon, running the high side, would get by Flanary.

Flanary wasn’t done just yet as on the last lap, into three, he would go on the inside of Harmon but with high side momentum, Eddie Harmon came to the line to win for the first time this season at Rocky Top.

Behind Harmon in second was Shon Flanary, Todd Robinson in third, Dave Kelley in fourth, and David Fitzpatrick in fifth. Harmon and Flanary won heat races.

In the Bomber A-Main, Jeremie Bretz would get the lead at the start and never look back, winning his first race of the season at Rocky Top in a dominating performance.

However, behind Bretz, one of the best battles of the night ensued for second, third, and fourth between Robbie Lewis, Brett Carey, and Wayne Hughes.

Battling hard the entire race, Hughes would take the second position with Lewis in third,Carey in fourth, and Hamilton in fifth.

Bretz and Carey would win heat races. Kevin McKenzie took the 4 cyl/6 cyl feature win.
