Lawrence has been charged with aggravated robbery in connection a robbery at the Park Avenue Speedway last Sunday
"We found out who we were looking for a day or so after it happened by watching the (store surveillance) videos," Akers said. "We tried to find him Friday and got word he was headed toward Portsmouth and we contacted the police there."
The weapon Lawrence used to rob the store, a blue ice scraper, was found in a yard not far from Speedway.
