SOUTH POINT - The Coal Grove Junior Hornets and South Point Junior Pointers advanced to the championship game of the Ohio Valley Conference middle school basketball tournament.

In Wednesday's 7th grade semifinal games, Coal Grove beat Fairland 48-42 as Frank Delawder poured in 28 points.

South Point topped Rock Hill 46-17 in the second game as Marcus Cochran and Doug Dillon had 8 points each.

In Thursday's championship games at South Point Middle School, Coal Grove plays South Point at 5:30 p.m. in the 7th grade title game followed by South Point and Fairland in the 8th grade final.
