CHESAPEAKE - These kind of turnovers are no desert.

Chesapeake was guilty of 27 turnovers that resulted in the Lady Panthers 37-20 season opening loss to the Gallipolis Blue Angels Saturday night.

"The girls played really hard, but the turnovers just killed us," Lady Panthers coach John McClung said.

"Sarah Rucker played a good game handling their big girls. Joanna Delimpo did a good job on James. The girls have been working hard. They'll only get better."

Rucker finished with 7 points to lead Chesapeake. Brittany Boyle hit a pair of 3-pointers and finished with 6 points.

Jackie Wamsley of Gallipolis led all scorers with 21 points.
