PEDRO - A Franklin Furnace man was injured in a single-car accident that happened just after midnight today on State Route 93 north of Pedro.

Ohio State Highway Patrol Commander Lt. Carl Roark said George Wicker, 50, was apparently northbound when he lost control of his 1991 Chevy Astro van in a curve. Roark said Wicker's van apparently went off the right side of the road and struck a ditch.

Wicker was taken by a Lifeflight helicopter to Cabell-Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W.Va., where he was listed in fair condition this morning.
