COLUMBUS (AP) - Two Ohio State football players pleaded innocent Monday to charges they assaulted a fellow student and took his wallet.

Louis Irizarry, a second-team tight end, and backup tailback Ira Guilford appeared separately in Franklin County Municipal Court before Judge James Green.

Each sophomore spent about a minute in the courtroom, walking in a side door and then standing with their backs to a wall.

Irizarry and Guilford are charged with felony robbery. They spent the weekend in the county jail.

Guilford was released Monday after paying a $25,000 bond.

Irizarry remained in jail pending a hearing to determine if he had failed to meet the terms of probation from an earlier arrest for fighting.
