Did you ever have one of those nights when you wished you had just stayed home?
The St. Joseph Flyers felt that way after losing 71-38 to the Fairview (Ky.) Eagles Friday night.
'We never got in the offensive flow and we never got an easy shot. They're very athletic and very quick," Flyers coach Adam Simpson said. "They shot well and it was one of those nights for us."
Phillip Meeks had 22 points and Cody Fannin 13 to lead the Eagles.
Shawn Hacker had 14 points and 12 rebounds for St. Joseph (3-12).
Meeks and Fannin combined for 11 points in the first quarter as Fairview raced to a 20-7 lead.
The duo scored six points each in the second quarter as the lead went to 36-16 at the half. Hacker scored seven of the Flyers nine points.
Meeks had eight more points and Brett Cooksey scored six and the defense held St. Joseph to four points to make it 54-20.
