Toledo nips Herd; Ohio belts Bulls

TOLEDO (AP) - Keith Triplett had 18 points and six rebounds, and Toledo withstood a late rally to beat Marshall 68-65 Wednesday night.
Triplett's two freethrows with 48 seconds left put Toledo (10-3, 4-1 Mid American Conference) ahead by 11 points at 67-56 before the Thundering Herd (5-7, 2-3) went on a 9-1 run to close the game.
Marshall's Tre Whitted made two 3-pointers and Enoch Bunch hit a third in the game's final 18 seconds. Whitted finished with 10 points, while Bunch scored five. Eric Smith had 13 points and 11 rebounds for Marshall.
The Rockets' A.J. Shellebarger added 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Toledo led 31-25 at halftime and stayed ahead throughout the entire second half.
The Rockets shot 44.8 percent from the floor, while the Thundering Herd's field goal percentage was 38.1.

Ohio 90, Buffalo 76
ATHENS, Ohio (AP) - Jaivon Harris scored 25 points to lead Ohio to a 90-76 comeback win over Buffalo Wednesday night.
The Bobcats (4-10, 1-3 Mid-American Conference) were losing 62-48 with about 11 minutes left, before going on a 22-3 run. Harris, who hit 6-of-11 3-point attempts for the game, scored six points during the run that left Ohio ahead 70-65 with about five minutes to play.
The Bobcats turned the ball over only twice in the second half, while scoring 17 points off 10 turnovers by Buffalo (5-8, 1-4). In contrast, Buffalo scored 16 points off 13 Ohio first-half turnovers to lead 40-31 at halftime.
Three other players scored in double figures for Ohio - Terren Harbut with 14 points, Thomas Stephens with 12 and Delvar Barrett with 15.
Daniel Gilbert had 16 points for Buffalo.
