Child Welfare Club gears up for annual Spring Luncheon

The Child Welfare Club will have its annual Spring Luncheon at 12:30 p.m. April 10 at the First Church of the Nazarene on South Fourth and Pleasant streets.
This event is sponsored every spring to help many charities.
In addition to the food,
door prizes and entertainment from the Ironton High School Singers will also be available.
The club also sponsors the Eddy Awards for the top sixth-grade students in elementary schools and the Freshie Awards for freshman students who have maintained a B average or better in all subjects. It also gives support to the Academy of the Excellence, the City Welfare Mission, the GRADS program, the Domestic Violence Task Force and many other programs dedicated to the encouragement and well-being of children.
Reservations can be made by any club member or by calling Becky Depriest at 532-0402 or Janice Heaberlin at 532-7988. Tickets are $6 per person, and delivery is available upon request.
