Two people were arraigned in Ironton Municipal Court Monday after allegedly assaulting a man with spraypaint Friday night.

Stephanie K. Harshberger, 26, of South Point, and her boyfriend Carl F. Noble, 39, of Ironton, both remain in the Lawrence County Jail each under $50,000 bond. The two are both charged with felonious assault and aggravated robbery.

Late Friday night, the two picked up Duane White, 38, of Ironton, and the car pulled into a driveway on LaGrange-Royersville Road, Deputy Wes Collins of the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department said. Harshberger and Noble allegedly sprayed White with spraypaint, hit his head with a car door and pushed his face into a mud puddle. Three children were also in the car.

Collins said Harshberger and Noble were both intoxicated when they were arrested, and were allegedly trying to take a prescribed narcotic from White. White sustained head and facial injuries. The children were turned over to a relative.

Carol Hampton of Ironton will represent Harshberger and Jason Smith of Ironton will represent Noble. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for both at 9 a.m. Thursday in Ironton Municipal Court.
