Fifteen other indictments handed out

A Lawrence County grand Jury handed down 15 indictments Tuesday.

On the list of indictments are:

-- Kenneth R. Smith, Jr., 50, of 526 S. Ninth St., Ironton. Smith is charged with aggravated robbery in connection with the May 28 holdup at the Speedway Store on Park Avenue in Ironton. He is also charged with two counts of assault on a police officer. These charges are fourth-degree felonies.

-- Ernest E. Elkins, 44, of 22 Spring St., Proctorville. He is charged with aggravated vehicular assault, a fourth-degree felony, and falsification, a first-degree misdemeanor. The charges stem from a car accident April 20.

-- Billy Ray Mullins, 35, of 96 Ridgeway St., Coal Grove. He is charged with fifth-degree felony domestic violence.

-- Jeremy Weaver, 25, of 1809 1/2 Meade St., Russell, Ky., and Charles Melvin, 37, of Four Seasons Motel, Ashland, Ky. Both are charged with receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony.

-- Robert D. Babb, 43, of 121 Main St., South Point. He is charged with theft by deception, a fifth-degree felony.

-- Aaron Akers, 21, of 3229 Hughes St., Huntington, W.Va. He is charged with aggravated burglary, which is a first -degree felony, and with assault, a first -degree misdemeanor.

-- Douglass P. Cihon, 45, of 242 Sixth Ave., Huntington, W.Va.

He is charged with fifth -degree felony theft.

-- Billy Scarberry, 36, of 4041/2 State St., Proctorville, and Bruce Ward, 26, of 3244 Woodland Drive, Huntington, W.Va. They are both charged with fifth -degree felony

breaking and entering and two counts of third -degree burglary.

-- Rico A. Perry, 26, of 1107 S. Seventh St., Ironton. He is charged with receiving stolen property.

-- Gilbert Colon, 43, of 8322 Old US 52, South Point. He is charged with driving under the influence, a fourth -degree felony.

-- Robert E. Moreland, Jr., 28, of Bedford, Penn. He is accused of receiving stolen property, a fourth -degree felony, and failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, a third -degree felony.

Christopher Young, 38, of 73 Daisy Drive, Proctorville. He is charged with violating a protective order or consent agreement, a fifth -degree felony. Teresa Moore/The Ironton Tribune
