PORTSMOUTH – The offense was pumped, which left the Portsmouth Notre Dame Lady Titans deflated.

The Rock Hill Redwomen banged out 10 hits in a 14-1 rout of the Titans Tuesday.

"We got a few hits and then moved them around. This was a good offensive effort," Rock Hill coach Mike Blagg said.

Rock Hill used five hits and three errors to score four runs in the top of the first. Tia Russell, Crystal Mullins, and Keisha Rupp all had bunt singles to start the rally and Jamie Skaggs had an RBI base hit.

In the bottom of the first, Notre Dame scored its only run. on a walk and three errors on an attempted steals.

In the second, Sarah Rupp walked, Bobbie Clark was safe on an error, and Tia Russell had an RBI single to make it 5-1. Skaggs hit a sacrifice fly to cap the rally.

Rock Hill had just one hit but scored four runs in the third.

Tess Howard walked, Alisha Qualls sacrificed the runner, Sarah Rupp was hit by a pitch, and Clark had an RBI double. Russell followed with a run-scoring single, Keisha Rupp walked, and Skaggs had a two-run single.

The final four runs scored in the fifth.

Russell and Mullins walked, Keisha Rupp was hit by a pitch, and Skaggs doubled to the fence to clear the bases. Maria Moore had a sacrifice fly to plate the final run.

Maria Moore with five innings for the win. She also had two runs batted in.

Skaggs led the way as she went 3-for-4 with six RBI. Russell was 3-for-3 with three runs scored and two RBI, and Keisha Rupp was 2-for-3.

Rock Hill, 9-7, hosts South Point Wednesday in an Ohio Valley Conference game. Notre Dame is 7-3.
