There exist today people who, for one reason or another, do not think twice about cruelty.
They plan it. They cause it to happen. They watch as the unevitable results unfold.
They tie their animals outside with food, water of shelter. They abuse cats. They starve horses.
They take pet dogs out lonely roads and leave them there to fend for themselves in the wild.
One of the only defenses these animals have, other than a caring human being who happens to be near, is the Lawrence County Humane Society.
And it needs your help.
Around the county, there are "donation doggies" that passersby can use to drop a little change into. Use them if you see them.
The animals will thank you.
