No matter if you are rich or poor, a business owner or janitor, a man or woman, young or old, you have the right to walk into that voting booth and made your opinion known.

It’s not only a right guaranteed by the Constitution, but it’s also a duty that each and every person of voting age in this country should look forward to.

Elections have existed since the creation of this country. They have existed for one purpose and that’s to give all citizens a voice in how we are governed.

When we cast a ballot, we do more than pick our favorite candidate.

We join together with others in picking the right person for the job, the person who will lead us and pave the way to the future.

Does that sound like a task to be taken lightly?

The answer is, of course, no.

We should weigh all our options, find out how each candidate plans to run his or her particular office and decide if that’s what each of us and our neighbors want.

Then, in one week’s time, we should take our decision to the polling place because the system does not work when we do not take part in it.

We can sit at home and shake our heads at the arguing candidates we see on the television screen.

Or, we can get up and get out to vote.

Only then will the right decision be made – when all of us decide together.

Go vote.
