Raymond Holbrook

Raymond L. Holbrook, 86, of Ironton died Sunday at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W.Va.
The Webbville, Ky., native was born Nov. 2, 1916, the son of the late Charlie and Effie Webb Holbrook.
He was the husband of the late Stella M. Holbrook, who died June 11, 1998.
The U.S. Army veteran served in World War II and was a retired truck driver for Ford Brothers Trucking Co. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and the Teamsters Local Union.
He also was preceded in death by one sister, Martha Holbrook; and three brothers, Woodrow Holbrook, H.C. Holbrook and Robert Holbrook.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Letha and Steve Neale of Huntington; two grandchildren, Cara Neale and Ryan Neal, both of Huntington; one sister, Tina Bentley of Grayson, Ky.; and three brothers, Webb Holbrook and Jay Holbrook, both of Grayson, and Homer Blanchard Holbrook of Ashland City, Tenn.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Christ United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ron Brown officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Tracy Brammer Funeral Home; and one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.
