South Point man arrested after W.Va. robbery

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. —A South Point man was arrested Saturday in connection with the armed robbery of a Huntington, W.Va. business.
Lloyd Vernon Sexton, 38, was taken to the Western Regional Jail where he remains under a $102,000 bond.
Huntington police were called to the 16th Street GoMart after people there said a man with a knife held up the place.
Using a K-9 dog, officers allegedly tracked Sexton to a place at 15th Street and Charleston Avenue where he was allegedly hiding.
Officers said Sexton jumped and ran a short distance before being caught. The money and the knife allegedly used were recovered.
