The Fairland Dragons know a good deal when they see one. So when the Tolsia Rebels offered free throws, the Dragons got greedy.

Fairland converted 30 of 38 free throws as they beat the Rebels 66-57 Tuesday in a non-league game.

Cole Hatfield led the Dragons with 19 points including 15-of-17 at the line. Zach Jordan hit four 3-pointers as he scored 18 points and Chad Fisher got 14 points.

Scoring in double figures for the Rebels (2-4) were Derrick Robertston with 18, Austin Richardson 14, and Virgil Salmons 12.

Fairland (5-3) took a 15-8 lead at the end of the first quarter and used a 17-4 run to begin the second quarter to open up a 40-23 halftime lead.

The Dragons managed only three points in the third quarter and Tolsia got within 43-41 on a foul shot by Jacob Copley with 7:34 left to play in the game.

Fairland stretched the lead to as many as eight, but the Rebels cut the deficit to 57-53 on a jumper by Copley with 55 seconds left.

Tolsia called a timeout but coach Jason Hatfield was called for a technical and Cole Hatfield hit two foul shots. Fisher was fouled on the inbounds play and hit one of his two attempts as the Dragons went up by seven points and Tolsia could get no closer.
