IRONTON — Hocking Athens Perry Community Action staff will be on hand from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, and Friday, Jan. 23 at the Briggs Lawrence County Library (321 S. Fourth Street), so people may apply for benefits through the Ohio Benefit Bank (OBB).

Applying for benefits can be confusing, time consuming and difficult.

The Ohio Benefit Bank, a program offered in partnership with the Governor’s Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives and Ohio Association of Second Harvest Foodbanks, is a free service that simplifies the process, making it easier and quicker for people to access their eligibility for benefits.
