CHESAPEAKE — The cause of a Chesapeake house fire has been ruled to be undetermined, according to the state fire marshal’s office.
The fire started Thursday afternoon at a one and a half story frame bungalow on County Road 1 across from Chesapeake Elementary School.
“Investigators were unable to rule out an electrical malfunction as the cause of the fire, but could not say specifically how the fire started,” according to Shane Cartmill, spokesman.
The fire broke out in the living room on the south side of the house. No one was injured in the blaze.
