ASHLAND, Ky. — University of Kentucky Symphony Orchestra will perform Tuesday, March 10 at 7 p.m at the Paramount Arts Center.

The orchestra has been an integral part of the cultural life of UK and its communities since the founding of the School of Music in 1918.

Selected by audition, the orchestra is comprised of string, wind, and percussion instrumentalists from both graduate and undergraduate students at the University of Kentucky.

The program includes excerpts from Elgar — Enigma Variations; Tschaikovsky –Symphony #4; Copland–“Fanfare for the Common Man”.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $7.50 for students. The event is sponsored by Margaret Adkins.
