CINCINNATI (AP) — The Bengals have released guard Jason Shirley, who tore an Achilles’ tendon while playing in a charity basketball game in April.
If nobody claims Shirley off waivers, he will revert to the team’s non-football injury list.
Shirley was a defensive lineman from Fresno State when the Bengals took him in the fifth round of the draft in 2008. They moved him to the offensive line during training camp last year, and he spent the entire season in the practice squad.
