HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — During these difficult financial times, a group of Huntington Area Financial Advisors have banded together to support Big Brothers Big Sister’s Bowl for Kid’s Sake.
On Monday, May 11, the Advisors of Smith Barney, Wachovia Securities, RBC Wealth Management, and Merrill Lynch will compete in the 1st annual “Battle of the Brokers”, a bowling tournament to benefit Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
According to Smith Barney Financial Advisor, Jeff Biederman Jr., who has spearheaded this effort, brokers will challenge friends and co-workers to make a cash pledge with all proceeds going to support the local organization.
Said Biederman, “We’ve competed against each other professionally for years. The “Battle of the Brokers” will gives us the opportunity us to harness that competition for a common goal, the needs of deserving young people in our community.”
All Tri-State financial services firms are invited to participate.
