Breaking and entering, theft chief among indictments

An Upper Township man arrested four years ago after he held his family hostage during a standoff with police has been indicted again this time for aggravated burglary, criminal damaging and two counts of assault on a peace officer.
Ronnie L. Rowe, 58, of 2562 County Road 22, Ironton, is accused of going to his victim’s house, smashing a porch light and then breaking down the door.
Once inside he allegedly got into a fight with his victim. When Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies arrived, he fought with them as well, according to the sheriff’s office.
In 2007, Rowe was arrested after he held his family hostage, fired a gun several times and said he was going to shoot them. He was sentenced to one year of electronically-monitored home confinement and four years probation.
Also indicted were four men who were arrested in connection with the break-in at the home of a deceased Ironton woman last month. Jonathan R. Harmon, 28, of 311 Township Road 102, Ironton, was indicted on one count of complicity to burglary, Shane A. Jenkins, 20, of 360 Township Road 111, Ironton, was indicted on charges of burglary and complicity to burglary, Jacob Jenkins, 20, of 610 Washington St., Coal Grove, was indicted on two counts of burglary and William D. French, 32, of 1577 County Road 52, Ironton, was indicted on charges of theft from the elderly and complicity to burglary.
According to information from the office of Lawrence County Prosecutor J.B. Collier, Jr., others indicted were:
Matthew Lindsey, 21, of 56 Township Road 1057, Proctorville, one count of breaking and entering and two counts of theft.
Amy Hesson, 32, of 56 Township Road 1039, Chesapeake, one count each of breaking and entering and theft.
Randall S. Camp, 40, of 1202 S. Second St., Ironton, one count each of breaking and entering, theft from an elderly person, contributing to the unruliness of a minor and illegal use of drug paraphernalia.
Brandon M. White, 19, of 355 County Road 3, Chesapeake, one count each of breaking and entering, theft from an elderly person and contributing to the unruliness of a minor.
Wilburn Lynn Pauley, 48, of 653 County Road 15, South Point, one count each of breaking and entering and theft from an elderly person.
Robert A. Fortner, 36, of 1097 County Road 1, South Point, two counts of domestic violence.
Matthew McDonald, 28, of 3148 County Road 127, Chesapeake, one count of breaking and entering.
Randell K. Artrip, 22, of 1079 Township Road 266, Kitts Hill, one count of rape. The victim was a 12- year- old girl.
Lowney Dossey, 29, of 216 Township Road 141W., Pedro, one count of escape.
Brent C. Alley, 64, of 999 German Hollow Road, Ironton, one count each of DUI and possession of marijuana.
Richard Graham, 29, of 414 Little Solida Road, South Point, one count of aggravated possession of drugs.
Dana K. Clay, 48, of 3725 County Road 64, Willow Wood, three counts of felonious assault, all with a firearm specification. He is accused of shooting into a car where a man, woman and infant in a car seat were sitting.
Jeremy Byers, 28, of 306 Third St., W., South Point, two counts of breaking and entering and one count each of theft and grand theft.
Chrissi Holland, 29, also of 306 Third St., W., South Point, one count each of complicity to burglary and complicity to theft.
John F. Foster, 18, of 100 Township Road 336, Ironton, one count of burglary.
Kelly G. Doss, 20, of 47 Private Drive 99, Chesapeake, one count each of burglary, safe cracking and grand theft.
Samuel J. Allen, 27, 204 Township Road 1178, Chesapeake, one count of breaking and entering.
George Yancey, 25, 207 Third St.E., South Point, escape.
Jacob Burns, 24, 274 Township Road 2783, Chesapeake, one count of felonious assault.
Cody R. Patrick, 23, 106 Lawrence St., South Point, one count each of carrying a concealed weapon and using a weapon while intoxicated and two counts of receiving stolen property.
The grand jury met Thursday and Friday of last week.
