Della Coburn

SOUTH POINT — Della Claris Offill Coburn, 76 of South Point, went to her new Heavenly Home Monday, July 4, 2011, from Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.
Della was born Sept. 3, 1934, in Ashland, Ky, a daughter of the late Russell and Ollie Walker Offill.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Sue Hogg; and sister and brothers-in-law, Bill (Ann) Coburn, Carl Coburn, Joe Coburn, Rondal Robinson of all of Ironton and Rodney Haines of Ky., Lloyd Burcham and John Cornette.
She was a 1952 graduate of South Point High School and attended First Southern Baptist Church where she was a faithful servant.
Della is survived by her husband, Russell Coburn; one son, David Russell (Paula) Coburn of Franklin Furnace; two daughters, Catherine Annette Coburn of South Point, and Diana (Brian “Woody”) Woodyard of Chesapeake; two brothers, Edward (Jenny) Offill of New Burn, N.C. and Paul (Elizabeth) Offill of Medina; four sisters, Stella (David) Newman of Elyria, Irene Burcham of Elyria, Clara Cornette of Ashland, Ky., and Lucille (Terry) Hankins of Ironton; three grandchildren, Michael A. (Miranda) Hildreth of South Point, Gerrica L. Woodyard and Shayna B. Woodyard both of Chesapeake; several nieces and nephews and sister and brothers-in- law, Pat Coburn of Ironton, Dorothy Coburn Meredith of California, Shirley Coburn Haines of Kentucky, Jenny Coburn (Jerry) Vaughn, Lou Coburn Robinson, Ken (Mary) Coburn all of Ironton, and Ralph (Pat) Coburn of South Point. Special thanks to the staff of King’s Daughter Medical Center, Heartland of Riverview, Ashland Community Hospice, Patriot Ambulance, MTS Ambulance and for the many acts of kindness as she made her journey home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at First Southern Baptist Church, South Point, with Pastor Ricky Kirk and Pastor Ric Frazier officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.
