Citizens should be thankful for its firefighters

On Thursday, June 26, our 3-year-old granddaughter needed some emergency assistance.
I immediately ran with her to the Ironton Fire Department knowing that each are trained as EMTs and in first aid and CPR. They immediately took over and helped assess her while calling for assistance.
The city residents are very lucky to have such brave, knowledgeable, dedicated and professional firefighters who are there for us each and every hour of the day.
My family and I want to thank you and let you know how much we appreciate each one of you for all you do every day and for helping our granddaughter.

I would just like to thank you for your continuous support for the troops over here fighting for our freedom.
I am currently on a six-month deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom but my heart and soul is still with the city of Ironton.
To everyone who prays for our safe being, thank you so much and we hope to see you soon. Good luck on the up and coming football season. Go Tigers!
