Two others killed in crash

A Chesapeake woman was killed in a Florida motorcycle accident Friday afternoon. Louise Kirk, 59, died in the accident that happened around 4:30 p.m. at an intersection in Punto Gorda, Fla.

According to a release from the Florida Highway Patrol, Kirk was the passenger of a motorcycle that ran a stop sign and struck the left side of another vehicle. Both Kirk and driver, Jean Claude Gertsch, 70, of Ontario, Canada, were ejected from the vehicle. Neither Kirk nor Gertsch were wearing helmets, according to the release.

Both Kirk and Gertsch, as well as the driver of the other vehicle, Jacqeline H. Gray, 56, of Punta Gorda, Fla., died in the accident. Gray was not wearing a seatbelt.

The crash was not alcohol-related, according to the release.
