SOUTH POINT — Deborah Lynn Adkins Gore; 57 of South Point, died Thursday June 2, 2011, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky., with her family at her side.

She was born July 31, 1953 in Athens, a daughter of the late Genevieva Morrison Adkins and the late Austin Adkins. She was a graduate of Ohio University Southern Campus and of the Christian faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Adkins.

She is survived by her husband; Darrell Gore at home, a son, Seth Harrison and his wife Katrinia; two daughters, Angel Workman and her husband Jason and Marsha Sowards and her husband Mackie, all of South Point; three brothers, Danny Adkins and his wife Johnnie of Richland Hills, Texas, Jerry Adkins and his wife Janet and Roger Adkins, all of Dawson, Ga.; five sisters; Arettasis Adkins and her husband Holly Denver of Palm City, Fla., Janice Brust and her husband Tom of Green Valley, Ariz., Diane Smit and her husband John of Green Valley, Ariz., Reberta Hylton and her husband Robert of Dawson, Ga., and Marsha Webb of Dawson, Ga.; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. today at the Brown Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jeff Cremeans officiating.

Friends may call from one hour prior to services at the funeral chapel. They may also share memories or condolences to the family on the Facebook page of Brown Funeral Chapel. Memorial donations should be made to the chapel in her honor to help with final expenses.
