CHESAPEAKE — An accident Sunday afternoon on County Road 31 (Big Branch Road) sent three people to St. Mary’s Medical Center.

Chesapeake Fire Chief Brandon Best said the two-car head-on collision occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. in an area between the 3 and 4- mile markers. Two of the three people injured were trapped inside their vehicles. All three were taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va.
