Debrah Jo Rogers, 72, of Ironton, passed away Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
The Ironton native was born Nov. 16, 1952, a daughter of Fern Sturgill Wagner of Ironton and the late Daniel Milton Wagner.
Debbie was a graduate of Rock Hill High School with the class of 1970.
She was a former dispatcher for the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department and also worked security at the Lawrence County Court House.
Debbie former docent with the Lawrence County Museum and was active with the annual historical ghost walk in Woodland Cemetery.
She was also a member of the V.F.W. Post 8850 Ladies Auxiliary, the Moose Club and enjoyed playing the guitar, metal detecting.
In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Randell “Randy” Rogers on April 7, 2015; and grandson, Atticus Parsons.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Matthew Parsons, of Crab Orchard, West Virginia; and her grandson, Killian Parsons; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Kim Wagner, of Ironton; and nephews, Nathan (Candice) Wagner, of Ironton, Brad (Tara) McFann, of Jackson, and Mark (Beth) McFann, of Decatur.
Funeral services will be noon Thursday at Tracy Brammer Funeral Home, 518 S. Sixth Street, Ironton, with Pastor Lenny Campbell officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast at a later date, at the convenience of the family.
