NEW BOSTON — Evangelistic Outreach will broadcast their annual holiday program on Sunday.
Dr. Calvin Ray Evans, president and director of the New Boston-based ministry, said the Christmas installment of their weekly program will air on three channels locally and will have a theme of “One Night.”
Evangelistic Outreach airs at 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on WSAZ, 8 a.m. on WOWK and at 8:30 a.m. on the CW.
Evangelistic Outreach was founded in 1956 by Evans’ father, the late Calvin Evans, a Pedro native, and was based in Ironton for decades, before moving to its current location.
Their weekly program is broadcast across the U.S., as well as internationally and online.
Evans said the ministry has been busy the last few months with their annual effort of food distribution to those in need in the Appalachian region. The project is a partnership with several other ministries and he said, last year, they delivered food to 8,000 families.
“And we hope it will be that or greater this year,” Evans said.
