Robert Alfred Bailey, 71, of Ironton, passed away Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, at Southern Ohio Medical Center, Portsmouth.

He was born May 27, 1953, to the late Robert J. and Doris (Smith) Bailey.

Robert was a 1971 graduate of Rock Hill High School and worked for Lawrence County CAO.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Tina Bailey; a niece, Allie Mae Sanders; son-in-law, Jason Bloomfield; and great-grandson, Jackson Bailey.

Those left to celebrate his life are two daughters, Denise (Dave) Bailey Bruton and Beth Bloomfield; a son, Robert G. (Viki) Bailey and a brother Michael (Kim) Bailey; two nephews, Chuck and David Bailey; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

There will be no services scheduled at this time and Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton, is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
