BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. — It was a 2-for-1 deal for the Fairland Lady Dragons.

Fairland had 2 players earn all-conference honors which helped the Lady Dragons finish first in the Ohio Valley Conference golf tournament on Tuesday at Esquire Golf Course.

Eliza Wilson shot an 89 and Marli Speed a 91 to earn All-OVC honors as Fairland posted a 380 team score to finish well ahead of the Rock Hill Redwomen and South Point Lady Pointers who had 402 team scores.

The Gallipolis Blue Angels shot a 411 and the Chesapeake Lady Panthers finished with a 415 total.

The Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers and Coal Grove Lady Hornets did not have a team score. However, Ironton had 2 players earn All-OVC honors as Mairin Walters shot an 84 and Sarah Murdock carded an 86.

South Point’s Samiya Bradburn took medalist honors with an 80 on rounds of 39 and 41. Walters was runner-up with rounds of 38 and 46. Her round of 38 was the lowest of the day.

Also on the all-conference team were Angel Handleyof Chesapeake with a 90, Addison Wiseman of Gallipolis with an 85, and both Isabelle Melvin of Rock Hill and Emma Harper of South Point finished with a 91 total.
