Saturday
Golf Scramble
The Tee Up for Developmental Disability’s inaugural golf scramble will have a sign-in at 8 a.m. and shot gun start at 9 a.m. It will be at the River Bend Golf Club, 6333 State Route 1, Argillite, Kentucky.
Sunday
Church Anniversary
The First Baptist Church of Burlington will celebrate its 137th church anniversary at 3 p.m. Rev. Marlin Griffin, pastor of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Bidwell, will be the guest. The church is located at 7475 County Road One in Burlington. Rev. LaShawn Kaigler is the pastor. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Carnival
The Lawrence County Horseman’s Association is having its Fall Festival noon–5 p.m. at 475 Commerce Drive, Ironton. Admission is $5 for unlimited inflatables and games. There will be face painting, fishing game, duck pond, treasure hunt, cupcake walk and trick riding by Lynn Boyd. $3 for pony rides.
VFW Breakfast
The VFW Post 6878 in Proctorville will have its monthly breakfast 8–10 a.m. Adult cost is $7 and children 10 and under are $4. Everyone is welcome and to go is available. The menu includes fried or scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, toast, fried apples, coffee, milk and orange juice. The Auxiliary will also be having a bake sale.
Monday
Ironton Schools Board Meeting
The Ironton Schools board will meet 5:30–6:30 p.m. in Ironton High School cafeteria, 1701 S. Seventh St., Ironton.
ESC Governing Board Meeting
The Lawrence County Educational Service Center Governing Board will meet 4:30 p.m. at The Lawrence County Educational Service Center, 304 N. Second St., Ironton.
Tuesday
South Point BOE Meeting
The South Point Board of Education will meet at 5:30 p.m. in the board office.
Lawrence County Agricultural Society Meeting
The Lawrence County Agricultural Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds.
Thursday
Insurance COG Meeting
The Lawrence County Insurance COG will meet at 9 a.m. at South Point Board of Education Office, 302 High Street, South Point.
Friday
DBHS Class of 1984 event

Sept. 21
Melvin Family Reunion
The Melvin family reunion will be a potluck dinner at noon at Ironton Nazarene Church. Melvin family local history will be discussed.
DBHS Class of 1984 Reunion

Fout and Wilson Family Reunion

Impact Prevention Suicide Prevention Walk
Impact Prevention will have its annual Suicide Prevention Walk at 6 p.m. Anyone interested in attending should meet at the Lawrence County Courthouse steps. For more information, contact Impact Prevention program manager Meagan Joseph at meagan@impactprevention.org.
Sept. 28
Cemetery Walk
The annual Woodland Cemetery Walk will be held at Woodland Cemetery in Ironton from 5–7 p.m. The event is free. Programs and maps will be available for sale.
VFW Fish Dinner
VFW Post 6878 in Proctorville, will have a fish dinner 3-6 p.m. The menu includes fried fish, French fries, onion rings, hush puppies, coleslaw, dessert and soft drink. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 & under. To go orders available and everyone is welcome.
Sept. 30
Dawson–Bryant BOE Meeting
The Dawson-Bryant Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. in at the BOE office.
