Elizabeth J. Hacker Laber Lefebvre, 88, of Apollo Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday, Aug.5, 2024.

She was born March 28, 1936, the daughter of the late Frank Hacker and Iva McFann Hacker.

Elizabeth (Betty) was a graduate of the 1956 class of St. Joseph’s High School, Ironton.

Betty worked as a homemaker raising two children and also was a business owner of Zip’z Ice Cream in Tampa, Florida and an antiques enthusiast and shop owner of Libby’s Parlor.

She was active with St. Anne’s Church, Ruskin Florida and at St. Vincent de Paul where she volunteered at the thrift shop.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings Rose Hacker Gannon, John Hacker, Larry Hacker, Ann Hacker Krumm, Joseph Hacker and Janet Hacker Peters.

Betty is survived by her husband, Donald R. Lefebvre, of Apollo Beach, Florida; two daughters, Tamara Laber, of Apollo Beach, Florida, Theresa Laber Aldrich (John), of Ruskin, Florida; and two grandchildren, Tyler Aldrich, of Newark, New Jersey, and Andrew Aldrich, of Lakeland, Florida.

Betty is also survived by two sisters, Patricia Clay, of Lexington, Kentucky, and Deborah Young, of South Point: and many nieces and nephews who visited her often.

A Celebration of Life mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024, at St Joseph’s Church, Ironton, with Father Wayne Morris officiating.

Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Coal Grove.

A luncheon will be held at the Delta Hotel in Ashland, Kentucky, for family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Church, Ironton, or St. Vincent de Paul, where Betty volunteered in Ruskin, Florida.
