PROCTORVILLE — It was just game 3 of the season, but the Fairland Dragons looked like they were in midseason form.

The Dragons stormed to a big halftime lead and cruised past the Gallipolis Blue Devils 63-30 on Tuesday in their Ohio Valley Conference opener.

Chase Allen scored 22 points as the Dragons stayed unbeaten in 3 games. Brody Buchanan had 14 points ad 3 assists while Allen had 5 assists.Will Davis had 13 points and 3 steals with Davon Lewis getting 5 rebounds.

Allen hit a pair of triples and scored 10 points, Buchanan had a trey and scored 7 points while Davis had a 3-pointer and scored 5 points as Fairland opened up a 26-7 first quarter lead.

The Dragons (3-0, 1-0) extended the lead to 40-17 at the half as Allen drained 2 more 3-pointers and scored 8 points.

Cade Mock 6 and Dylan Sheets got 4 points each in the quarter for Gallipolis (1-3, 0-1).

The momentum slowed to a crawl in the third quarter as Allen and Davis scored 4 points each and the lead was 49-24.

Noah Marcum hit a triple and had 5 points, Trevor Lochow nailed a 3-pointer and 5 different players scored as Fairland outscored Gallipolis 14-6.

On Friday, Fairland visits Rock Hill and Gallipolis hosts Portsmouth.
