Lady Vikings keep rolling with victory

WILLOW WOOD — The Symmes Valley Lady Vikings are on a roll.
With only a close loss to Portsmouth Notre Dame as its only blemish, the Lady Vikings improved to 3-1 on the season as they beat the South Point Lady Pointers 47-36 on Saturday.
Kaitlin Maynard scored 7 points as the Lady Vikings took a 13-10 first quarter lead.
Saratina Jackson and Emma Saddler hit 3-pointers for South Point.
Desiree Simpson had 5 points and Maynard 4 as the Lady Vikings were up 26-16 at the half.
Lydia Saunders scored 6 points and Simpson 4 as Symmes Valley extended its lead to 38-23 in the their quarter.
The Lady Pointers flirted with a comeback in the fourth quarter as Josie Kidd had 4 points and they were 5-of-7 at the foul line.
The Lady Vikings managed to hold on for the win despite going 1-of-8 from the foul line in the quarter.
Simpson and Saunders scored 13 points each to pace the Lady Vikings (3-1).
Jackson scored 7 points and Harper 6 to lead the Lady Pointers (3-1).
