CHESAPEAKE — One person was killed and others were injured in a six-vehicle crash on the 17th Street Bridge from Chesapeake into the west end of Huntington, W.Va. Wednesday afternoon.
The accident was reported just before 4 p.m., said Shift Supervisor Chris Gibson of Cabell County 911. At least one person was transported to a hospital and others had minor injuries, Gibson said.
The bridge was expected to be closed for a few hours, Gibson said.
Names of those involved in the crash have not been released.
