HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — The Fairland Lady Dragons saved their best for last.
The Lady Dragons scored all their runs in the last inning as they rallied past the Huntington St. Joseph Lady Fighting Irish 3-2 Monday.
Sashe Burcham pitched a four-hitter to get the win. She struck out 12 and walked four.
The Lady Irish took a 1-0 lead in the third inning when Nikki Lobo singled, Sarah Sang walked and Jennifer Sang singled.
St. Joseph made it 2-0 in the sixth. Sarah Sang walked, went to second on a throwing error and scored when Caitlin Gale reached on an error.
Fairland then put together its three-run rally in the seventh.
With one out, Jaimie Phillips walked, Kerie Napier was safe on an error and Stormie Spitzer singled in Phillips.
Miranda Christian beat out a bunt to load the bases and Chelsey Stanley singled in two runs.
Stanley went 2-3 with two RBI to pace the Lady Dragons.
Fairland (5-6) plays at River Valley Tuesday in an Ohio Valley Conference game.
