Woman admits CCS violation

A South Point woman was sentenced to home confinement Wednesday in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court.
Judge D. Scott Bowling sentenced Meahgan Gail Russell, 26, of 3571 County Road 120, to three months of home confinement with GPS monitoring. Russell admitted to violating the terms of her community-controlled sanctions.
In other cases:
Anthony S. Stevens, 24, of 751 High St., Coal Grove, pleaded not guilty to fifth-degree theft. Bowling set bond at $10,000 on his own recognizance and scheduled a pretrial hearing for May 4.
Christopher Talbert, 19, of 3587 Pine Ridge Road Lot 15, Huntington, W.Va., pleaded not guilty to trafficking in marijuana, possessing criminal tools and possessing drug abuse instruments. Bowling transferred a $1,000 surety bond plus a $10,000 OR bond from the lower court and scheduled a pretrial hearing for April 27.
Joseph P. Williams, 41, of 1729 Dalton Ave., Huntington, W.Va., pleaded not guilty to fourth-degree domestic violence. Bowling set a $25,000 surety bond and transferred a $25,000 OR bond. A pretrial hearing has been set for May 4.
John Moore, of 8130 County Road 1 Lot 14, South Point, denied violating the terms of his community-controlled sanctions. A CCS trial has been scheduled for April 20.
Jennifer Murray, 31, of 1823 S. Sixth St., Ironton, denied a CCS violation. Bowling set a CCS trial for next week.
Martin E. Stapleton, 28, of 2163 County Road 22, Ironton, pleaded not guilty to breaking and entering, assault and attempted theft. Bowling transferred a $10,000 bond and set a $25,000 OR bond. A pretrial hearing is scheduled for April 27.
Angel Martin, of 4299 County Road 15, South Point, denied a CCS violation. Bowling scheduled a pretrial hearing for April 20.
Norma J. James, 49, of 208 Township Road 1461, Ironton, pleaded not guilty to aggravated theft. Bowling transferred a $5,000 bond and scheduled a pretrial for May 5.
Michael Howard, of 717 ½ Ashtabula St., Ironton, pleaded not guilty to two counts of aggravated drug trafficking.
Jacob Morrison, 23, of 2328 County Road 30, Kitts Hill, pleaded not guilty to aggravated drug possession and operating a motor vehicle under the influence and driving under suspension. Bowling set bond at $15,000 OR plus a $5,000 bond that was transferred from a lower court. A pretrial has been set for April 27.
