Phyllis Kelley

Phyllis J. Kelley, 67, of Ironton, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Ky. The Lawrence County native was born May 17, 1943, the daughter of the late Hobart and Addie Keaton Mullins. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ronnie Kelley, whom she married May 15, 1965.

Mrs. Kelley was a 1962 graduate of Rock Hill High School and was a homemaker. She was also a former employee with the Lawrence County Children’s Service Agency and performed demos for the Eckrich Meat Products Co. at Pick ‘n Save in Ironton for several years. She attended the Freedom Enterprise Baptist Church in Ironton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Hobart Elmer Mullins and Lloyd Mullins; and a sister, Florence Smith.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Ronald David Kelley at home; a brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Betty Mullins of Mullinsville; a sister, Sue Joseph of Mullinsville; a niece, Rhonda Joseph Salyers of Patriot; a great niece, Summer Leean Salyers; and a great nephew, Taylor Lee Joseph.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton, with Pastor Joe Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery and visitation will be Saturday from 12 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
