Herd signs Johansson for football

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Swedish national Sebastian Johansson has signed a National Letter of Intent to play football at Marshall University.
Johansson, a six-foot-five 315-pound offensive lineman, was a Foreign exchange student and played center at Raceland High School (Ky.) as a junior in 2009. He helped lead the Rams to a 12-1 record and an appearance in the regional finals that season, before returning to Sweden for his senior year.
Johansson has seven years of American Football experience from a club team, the Carlstad Crusaders of the Swedish American Football Federation, and he has represented Sweeden in the Team USA vs. The World Game and in the Junior World Championships. He is also the first player in the history of Swedish American Football to move up to the senior national team as a junior.
