Want to support local businesses? Look no further than The Tribune’s Black Friday Showcase pages in the newspaper on the biggest shopping day of the year.
The Tribune partnered with a variety of local advertisers that include retail, automotive, commercial and other services. All are featured on facing pages of the newspaper.
“We wanted to create a special page to allow advertisers to get their specific messages across on this key shopping day,” said Tribune Publisher Michael Caldwell. “We were pleased with the results and sold out the space very quickly.”
As a way to offer this to other advertisers who may not have gotten a chance to be a part of it and to continue to promote local businesses, The Tribune will continue this for three Fridays until Christmas with the final edition running Wednesday Dec. 23. The advertising specials will be part of our Holiday Showcase series.
“Our goal is to provide affordable advertising opportunities for local businesses so that we can help make this the best Christmas ever for our advertisers and Lawrence County shoppers,” Caldwell said.
These pages are also part of The Tribune’s 1-year anniversary celebration of its Chesapeake Tribune and Proctorville Tribune editions. In part made possible through a partnership with St. Mary’s Medical Center, these editions of the newspaper include more news from these communities.
